CRUDE OIL QUALITY


Crude oil quality is a key factor in project profitability and operational efficiency. It is mainly evaluated through:


  • Density  (API Gravity)
  • Sulfur content


Crude with higher API gravity and lower sulfur content is considered higher value, as it requires less refining and enables more efficient production.

SITE CLIMATIC CONDITIONS

  

Environmental conditions directly influence facility design, construction, and operation. 


For this reason, the following factors are carefully analyzed in every project:


  • Climate: Temperate humid with variations toward drier areas.
  • Temperature: Hot during the day and cold in elevated areas at dawn.
  • Precipitation: Limited light rainfall.
  • Wind: Predominantly from the north (10–20 km/h, gusts up to 40 km/h).
  • Sky conditions: Partly cloudy.
  • Seismic activity: Considered in structural design.
